Maria Gracia L. Morfe is the founder and managing partner of Morfe, Ceneta & Co., CPAs, a general professional partnership duly engaged in the public practice of accounting in the Philippines, that has gained its current stature as one of the most trusted accounting and auditing firms under her utmost guidance and leadership.
She is well known in the industry for her business ability on audit, taxation, corporate advisory, accounting, and business consulting and has advised and worked with many companies, both here and abroad over the course of her more than 20 years of professional experience.
She has been part of other general professional partnerships engaged in the practice of public accounting and auditing before she decided to put up her own firm together with Ben Ceneta even amidst the 2008 great economic recession. In these firms, she has held critical positions such as managing partner and international liaison partner and/or lead partner of a Philippine-based, internationally affiliated firm to name a few, where in this capacity, she oversaw the overall firm’s audit engagement, effective presentation of financial reports to the top management of the clients, acted as advisor to clients on Philippine tax implications for both foreign and domestic clients, review of tax incentives available to foreign clients and other potential inventors among others.
Buendigardo R. Ceneta is one of the founding partners of Morfe, Ceneta & Co., CPAs. Ben, as he is fondly called by his colleagues and friends, has been in the audit industry, both internal and external for more than 20 years now.
He is adept in internal audit specializing in the examination of financial transactions which includes but not limited to financial audit according to International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Philippine Standards on Auditing (PSA), accounting and financial reporting based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Internal Control review with risk assessment and management, budget and financial projection preparation including feasibility study.
Upon graduating from college with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Cum Laude and after passing the Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examinations (CPALE), Ben started his career as a junior auditor where he was immersed in handling companies from across different industries, allowing him to understand more business processes by performing annual and interim financial audits, preparation of financial statements, conducting comprehensive forensic audits for ongoing court litigations, representation of clients before the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other government agencies and instrumentalities and giving recommendations to clients regarding internal control and accounting system among others.
